I am about to get involved in a swap with an amc 360/727/d300 in a 91 YJ. has anyone else done this swap and what problems did you run into? i am concerned about steering shaft clearance and exhaust manifolds, the motor has stock manifolds on it right now.
going with AA motor mounts and will probably have a clocking ring to move the case up and run a flat skid. radiator will be one from a 6cyl YJ that has been re cored, mechanical fan.
any pictures or links to a write is appreciated. thanks for the input!

You know you will also have to flip the case right?
Run the stock exhaust manifolds, they will clear the 727 just fine. Your steering shaft clearance will be fine also.

only crazy person run a v8 with the stock dana 30/35 axles :shaking: scout d44 and ford 8.8 out back. 4.10 gears. undecided if keeping it SUA. 4 link would be ideal but not budget friendy right now.
thanks for answering the other questions :D

Unless you run a 2 piece front driveshaft you are probably going to have clearance issues with the tranny pan if you are going to clock the t-case completely flat. Something to look into.
