: Balancing Tires

I have been reading everything about how people put golf balls in side of bigger tires to make them balance. Some even put mouse balls in with the golf balls to "fine tune" the balancing.

For some reason this got stuck in my head, but goly balls seemed a little big to use so I tried to think of something else to use ... Rubber bounce balls might but they don't weigh as much, marbles weigh more but a not very easy on a rim. But what about using lead shot (the same stuff you use to reload shot gun sheels with)? Because they weigh a good amount for their size, and are soft enough not to hurt a wheel when you slow down.

This is just something that I have been thinking about, any other thoughts or bits of information would be great. Thanks!!:)

None of this stuff accually works right. It is kinda like the new stuff called "equal" on the market that is suppossed to fill your tire with a fine powder and equalize the ride. BAsically, it is a crock of sh*t.

I charge about $10 per tire to take it out and rebalance them. I ahve been making A LOT of money doing this too!

New stuff??? What a joke. That there stuff's been used in big rig tires fer a looong time now!

I wouldn't use lead...beat it up at all into any kind of fine flakes and air down and ya get a face full o lead mist.

I used BB's, and it's worked really well.

Balance it normally, bwa ha ha ha...no way you're balancing a radila swamper with regular wheel weights, and even if ya could, half are gone after the first ride.
