Has anyone found that lock rights work better with 4.10 gearing then say 4.88 or 5.29? Or the other way around?? Someone mentioned this a while ago, but I forgot what people said and had no luck doing a search. thanx

There are some guys in my club that have lock-rites and they have various gearing with no problems, I have stock gears with a rear lock-rite and no problems, yet...

The lower gears would help you turn easier from a stoped position. The lower gears makes it easier for the truck to break the inside tire loose. But I won't even bother because I have 3.90's with lockrights in both front and rear axels. And I love the fact that while people with 4.88 or 5.29 ratios also reach their torque band at slower speeds going up the hill.

f/r lockright's with 5.29s and it's all good so far.

like dsi said, lockers and gears have nothing to do with one another.

90,000 on my lockright, 75k with 4.56 and 15k with 5.29's. I didn't notice any difference between the two.
