: Feelers for selling the Jeep M715/Wagoneer Choptop body! Far Northern CA
Hammer 06-16-2007, 08:10 PM $1900 takes the body with the extra parts listed with it! (body parts, interior parts, not the engine.
Update, I have some D44 axles that I can put under this and make it a roller.
Axles have 3.54 gears.
Disc brake front axle, drum rear with offset for Qtrac.
So, $1900 for the body/frame.
Or $2200 for the body/frame, springs and axles.
I don't have any extra rims or tires right now. So you would need to bring your own if you went this route.
Ok, I got this off of FSJeeper a couple years ago, and it ends up not being exactly what I was looking for. To make it work for what I want, I would have to cut the bed up some and redo it. Which I think would be a shame.
Soooo, I figured that someone here might be interested in taking over this part of the project.
I am mainly interested in selling just the body (cab with bed included).
I can sell the frame with it if someone is interested. This is the frame off of GlennTx's old choptop wagoneer (IFSJA.ORG forums).
I also have that huge Ranch Hand bumper that Glenn had on the choptop (also have that fuel injected 360 with Custom EFI's setup.)
Anyone interested in buying it?
Trades are possible as well.
M715s of course.
I am interested in WT cherokees (pre 80s at least).
Or a J10 or J20, short bed preferred.
Also looking for a 69 - 72 Blazer or Jimmy.
Let me know if you are interested and I will post more pictures and details.
Delivery is possible for a fee. And I know some people are driving across country this summer, so you might be able to get it transported that way as well. Always a way to work it out.

loveshackle 06-17-2007, 11:43 AM My son, 10, just bought a '78 Cherokee Chief WT & has a picture of your rig that he wants to follow in his plan. Sooo...the interest is there! However, I think he wants to do his own, especially due to the distance. Thanks.
tigger119634 06-17-2007, 12:02 PM Interested. How much are you asking for it?
Hammer 06-17-2007, 04:59 PM Hmm, it's not impossible to get it out to CO. One friend of mine goes to MOAB fairly often. He 'might' be coming out my way in July, not sure of his return path though. And yes, he will have a trailer in tow.
Not sure on asking price. I paid a fair chunk of money for it, and I was interested in what someone was willing/wanting to pay for something like this.
There was a lot of time put into building the bed of this thing. Which is why I would rather sell/trade it then cut it up and redo it. The welding and fab in the bed was well done.
Hammer 06-17-2007, 05:05 PM Oh yeah, if you go to http://froadin.com/choptop/ you can see more pictures of it. Some were taken while the bed was being built.
The gas can and carrier do NOT go with the body.
loveshackle 06-17-2007, 09:49 PM Talked to son. He definately wants to build his own, but is 'stealing' some ideas. Best of luck in your sale; it's a cool piece!
Hammer 06-18-2007, 12:55 AM No problem. He will probably run into less problems using the 2 door cherokee, so it's a good route for him to take.
If you/he wants any more pictures of anything, just email me or PM me what details you want, and I can get the pictures for you while I still have this.
sammeeks351 06-18-2007, 06:28 AM hmmm might try ifsja, since thats where ya found it:flipoff2:
Hammer 06-18-2007, 08:48 AM Go ahead, you will find one there for sale, that is oddly familiar to this one ;)
This is a one of a kind body.
I thought I wanted that kind, but I was wrong. But someone will want it!
Hammer 06-18-2007, 11:01 AM Ok, some cost reference points.
This was made from couple vehicles, (I am not trying to sell the M715 front clip), an M715, a Wagoneer, and a lot of fab work.
Over $1800 was put into the fab work alone, and done by a good builder in TX. (I will get his info soon, Greg is all I know for his name).
Then comes the extra parts, etc.
So I think that for a starting price, I will say that $2100 is my asking price.
Hammer 06-18-2007, 11:10 AM Greg at 4x4 factory in Austin did the fab work.
loveshackle 06-18-2007, 10:23 PM Thanks for the offer, Hammer. A bump for ya!

Hammer 06-25-2007, 12:51 PM $2100 for the body
$2500 for body, front clip and frame.
Hammer 07-27-2007, 09:20 AM Ok, front clip is no longer available with the deal.
$2100 for the body includes extras like seats, some extra rear doors.
Some other stuff like the dash, the wiring harness (dash part and the engine bay portion).
Hammer 08-06-2007, 11:02 PM Update on price : $1900 takes the body with the extra parts listed with it!
Hammer 08-21-2007, 09:02 AM Bump!

Hammer 09-05-2007, 01:16 PM Ttt
Hammer 10-05-2007, 05:11 PM Back up top.
Grendel 10-05-2007, 08:09 PM Good to see you made it back to CA. We used to talk a lot about various projects on Yahoo!
I am interested, but I'd need a 715 clip to go with it.
I need pics of the interior and the motor. I did see the ones on your thread.
What is the back of the cab like now?
Hammer 10-05-2007, 09:52 PM If the deal rests on it having the fenders, I can do that part. Although my current set is on my Cherokee now.
http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=75172
The hood is from an 80s wag. So it doesn't have the hookup for the release. Shouldn't take much to fix this though with stock Wagoneer parts.
I will take some pictures tomorrow. Anything specific you want to see?
Back of the cab is there, flat metal. Needs some trimming to get the rear window in there though.
Ok, refresh my memory on what we chatted about, and when?

Interior shots, motor... more detail on the motor would be helpful.
Get on Yahoo sometime and I'll message you.
Hammer 10-05-2007, 10:56 PM Ok, I will get those pictures tomorrow.
I finally got back on yahoo (forgot the info to get my password back until just a little bit ago).
Hammer 10-06-2007, 08:36 PM Ok, here are some pictures I took today.
http://froadin.com/choptop/forsale/
I still have lots of junk in it, and there are more parts that go with it that I didn't picture.
The engine currently has a propane setup on it. I haven't fired it, just put it on there for now. It was previously setup with EFI. I still have that as well, but it will most likely end up on my cherokee, and the propane on my CJ.
Grendel 10-07-2007, 05:38 AM Well I was very interested until I saw the floor pan. I just don't do body work.
Also, a little confused about what parts go with it. In your first post, you mentioned the EFI motor goes with it and now it's going in your Cherokee?
Hammer 10-07-2007, 11:14 AM Yeah, the floor is a big thing for me as well.
I can do the body work, but I just don't want to.
My original post should have read that I only wanted to sell the body itself, with the interior items that went with it. But I could also sell the engine, frame, etc.
I would prefer to keep the EFI for the cherokee. I could always throw on a spare carb for the motor to be complete.
Right now, I would prefer to sell the frame and most of the front clip with it. I don't currently have a spare set of M715 fenders, but I could get around that if needed. Those things are $ though. Average cost of the fenders alone are around $300.
Most of the stuff on top of it is the extra doors, dash, weatherstripping, etc.
Heck, I think I have an extra A/C system in all that stuff!
Hammer 11-01-2007, 07:22 PM Ok, anyone else interested?
I get people that are close to getting it, but most of them live a few states away!
Hammer 11-09-2007, 02:35 PM Up....
Hammer 11-22-2007, 06:54 PM Ok, another buyer fell through.
So it's back up for sale.
Hammer 12-09-2007, 08:08 PM Update, I have some D44 axles that I can put under this and make it a roller.

Hammer 12-30-2007, 08:24 PM Offers?
Getting tired of this thing just sitting there.
