Bart shot the temp of the lake bed yesterday at around noon with a digital thermometer and it was 139 degrees. An EZ`up afforded a 35 degree temp drop. I think the group must have drank 8 cases of water.

To my surprise there where quit a few groups out there using the area.

Cool group of people wheeling on a fine summer day. I have a whole new respect for the Rhino, may be it was the operator.

it was 105* here up north a few days back. im sure it will get to 110 sooner or later but it usually tops out around there. 139* is just ridiculous. i couldnt imagine wheeling in that.

It actually wasn't that bad. A light breeze in the canyon made it tolorable. My legs and neck were fried when I got home though.

139*....
I live out in the Dez and have never experienced that kind of heat.

And I thought 124* was unsurvivable...

Not sure what the temp was out at the lakebed today but at our shop 17 miles away I think it just barely broke into the 90s today. Nice time for some rare summertime hammers wheeling.

No really, and the wind blows non stop, BLM is righting tons of tickets, Beer spoils because of something in the air, You will get open wounds on your nuts, packs of rabid dogs scour the area looking for an unsuspecting leg to hump, and if your not care full you will burst into flames..... People should stay away from the hammers.:flipoff2:

Yes lake bed floor temp, as in don't take off your shoes.

The wife has seen 128 at lake Mohave.
