BLM Carson City, Nevada Field Office Consolidated Resource Management Plan
BLM is currently amending its Resource Management Plan (RMP) for over 5.2 million acres of public lands managed by the Carson City, Nevada Field Office. Comments are due by June 27, 2002 in the BLM Carson City Field Office on proposed changes in the consolidated RMP.
The internal BLM scoping process identified sixteen issues for consideration. Off-highway vehicle use and management is one of the identified issues.
This is an opportunity to be involved in promoting recreation in these areas. Express your interest in obtaining accurate up-to-date maps, appropriate signage and good descriptions of legal areas to recreate.
Your verbal comments will be taken by BLM during scheduled public meetings. Notice of public meetings will be announced in the local news media and sent to those listed on the BLM mailing list 15 days prior to the scheduled meeting.
