: Too much brakes? (Hydroboost)

83 CJ7 with 35" swampers, d44s disk/drum.. couldn't get the thing to stop so I got a Hydro boost from Vanco. Now... THE THING STOPS!, but too good!

Is there a way to mellow the hydroboost out any? I have a high hard pedal with about a 1/4 of throw.

I'd like to lower the pedal, so my heal can stay on the ground, and can do that by physically altering the pedal if need be, but I'd like to get a bit more motion in the pedal so there is a "slow down" area and not just "go" and "stop" :-/

Thanks!

Have you asked Van? He knows his product better than anyone.

gave him a call..... very helpful.
He says to add 1/4" strips between the firewall and the hydroboost and that will lower the pedal 3 to 1 (3/4" lower for every 1/4" spacer) and to NOT mess with the rod length.

I will give that a try and see if the lack of throw is less bothersome once I get my foot down to "normal"

Any new on what the outcome of making the adjustments that Vanco suggested is?

Just so ya'll know. I added three 1/4 inch strips of aluminum and lowered the pedal a bunch. Probably a little more than 3to1.

Now that the pedal is lower it breaks just like I expected. Easy and smooth, but it will still throw you through the windshield if you stomp on it :-)

Very happy now! Thanks again Van!
