Bjroid-

Bill Francis of "We Fourwheel" in Crestline, California has had a turbo 1974 F for a number of years (at least 4 years). Engine is similar to 2F in design not the earlier F series. Truck is for sale last I heard and it screams.

ill get clearer pictures in about a day or so, nice ones,

on the top left for the intake, you can see where the carburettor is attached, its a square shaped thing....

i dont know much about carbies (nothing) cause i have an injector pump :smokin:

a turbo f hey???

suck through turbo systems are crap.

you should inject it at the same time as the turbo. You get even more power and better fuel economy.

Get a throttle body of anything from the wreckers. Buy 6 injector bungs, weld them into the manifold. Get a microtech, wolf3d, ems computer hook it up and go for it!

Then again if you are going to all that trouble for a 2f dont bother wasting your time!

But propane does not go through injectors very well

injection is sweet but with the propane and all the BS, it might become a fair mission!!

get your propane running sweet, and then a snorkel and run it :smokin:

Hey Rob is that a standard manifold with the turbo mounted under it ?

BJ On Roids

to be dead honest

ive never seena 2F up close, and taken note of the exhaust, with most turbos they change the manifold......so it probly isnt, but if it is standard, itd be less junk to ship.......

edit: jason do they look like factory manifolds?

Jason M

It does look kinda like the later model manifolds.
The three piece design..

http://www.sor.com/sor/image/044e.gif

I will look into it a bit more.

BJ On Roids

thats the manifold!!

cool :smokin:

but i can still send the whole lot prabably, i dont want/need any of it and i think shipping is per m2, rather than on weight after a set amount

Doesn't the Baja FJ40 at SOR in Ca have a turbo'd F engine? If I remember correct it won the Baja 1000 in 72' so it had to be an F. Does this ring a bell to anyone or am I just dreaming?

Where is the kit... :D

I am still interested... though I would prefer stay gas as I have a 28 gallon tank already. Propane would be nice but I don't want a tank in the back and out in the middle of nowhere propane isn't as easy to come by as gasoline.

Jason, any idea what kindve of milage yours gets per gallon of propane? (I know it is very vehicle/driver specific, but humor me) :D

Try gotpropane.com He is a yota dude that has lots of turbo experience and could get the stuff you need for a 2F kit.

Jason M

Yeah, I talked to him a couple of times about my setup. I need to get out to AZ with my rig so that he can see exactly how to make a 2F kit

He kinda got out of the game, to bad he built some nice cruisers....

Last I spoke with him he was not even moderating on the outerlimits.

Wonder what became of his 45 buggy with yotta v8?

I'm still about..... Sometimes.... Living in Chicago still. Not much going on as far as 4x4's goes though :( It would be nice to get back to Australia and get back on the beach in a Crusier.
