Any hints or lessons learned for the first timer? I'm assuming you split the wheel, get the tire on the inside half, insert the run flat, then pull it all together with the outside half.... Mine have the magnesium run flats. Any special way to get them in place? Thanks.

Place tire on the ground, install both halves of the run flat in to the tire, fasten all four bolts on the run flat. Inspect the rubber o ring for the rim.. VERY important, if it is nicked, cut, or damaged in any way the wheel will leak. Now check the rim mounting surface where the bead makes contact for the same things. This area is a little more forgiving than the o ring. You can clean up the rim with some light emery cloth if needed. Wheel has four parts, rim, lock ring, o ring and nuts. Place the rim on the ground, place tire on top of rim, set lock ring in place, install all of the rim nuts, tighten them down slowly, a few turns at a time on each nut. There is a final TQ spec for them, but I would have to check the book to quote it. I've been making um just "that" tight for 16 years now and it always works.. About 20 ft pounds I'd say. If you really want the spec I'll look it up. As with most things, prep work is what makes all the difference.

silicone on the o-ring will help seal, seen them leak with just o-ring.
