is it possible to tell what axles a truck has by the vin?

Looking at 1975 IH 200 Pickup on ebay and the seller isn't communicating very well.. i just remember some 75 IH's had a Dana 60 under the front and i was curious if i could pick this one up for a song. the vin is 4H2CUDHB67373 If he ever responds back I'll go to look at it in person.

1975 1300 camper Special is the only appliction listed on the dana 60 bible. I only see a 74 on ebay right now anyway.

ah... the D60 bible is where i read that.... meh, IH's arent my thing but i was just curious.... I wasn't sure on how to tell it was a camper special or not.

nope just was semi-interested in the front axle and divorced t-case...

other than that it would of been anyone want this crap before it gets scraped?

I have the Spicer booklet for the IH D60F. For fun I called six states and started asking for part #'s. When they did thier big part # change up, most of the IH 60F #'s did not get carried over. So, spicer knew they didnt exist. BTW, the portland six states 'had'( :grinpimp: ) full inner and outer shafts for the IH closed knuckle 70F on the shelf. All those #'s carried over. Good stuff.

I have seen many of these trucks --- Front = D44 odd ball axle shaft length. Rear = Dana 60 with odd ball axle shaft lengths and 6 bolt hubs = GAY!
