Where abouts would I locate the fuel injectors ground on a 3F engine?

All fuel injectors I have seen are grounded to their case and therefore the engine.

I need to look at the 3FE schematics, but typically you find one side of the injector is "HOT" (+12V) when the ignition is on, and the controller will GROUND the other side to turn the injector on.

Still in NY (this is getting old), but back home tomorrow so I can look at the manual then.

From the CONTROLLER you need to have some good ground wire connections to the engine. I suspect that is what you mean by "locating the ground". Usually there are two bolts on the intake manifold for the wiring harness to bolt up to. That will work fine.

WARNING: Make sure their is a HEAVY battery cable from the engine to the chassis & battery. Doh... left it off, went to start the vehicle, and suddenly FRIED a wiring harness when all that current tried to make a loop back to the battery! Major screw up, no wasn't on the 3FE motor.

Roundrocktom you are correct in your assumption. I read a post somewhere that a Toyota Corrola with EFI, that had a troubled ground, ended up having an irregular idle.

I agree with Roundrocktom, all injectors I have seen are provided with a 12v switched hot, and are ground by a relay inside the computer, to some one of the ground wires in the wiring for the computer...
