Anyone seen a Unimog with a Chevy engine and Overdrive transmission?
Could you lose the torque tubes and convert to pinion flanges and run driveshafts?:mr-t:

Its been done unfourtunatly, and is quite lame in most cases. Plus, why would you want to lose the torque tubes. They are part of what makes mogs so great. Your better off building a buggy with mog portals.

My friend had done his Unimog with a Chevy engine and Overdrive transmission he even told me that if it will not goes as planned he could also replace the chevy engine with BMW engine parts (http://www.advancebmwparts.com/bmw-engine-parts.html) ... But i don't remember loosing his lose the torque tubes... Besides, it is used to couple the motor to the v-drive or other propulsion system... Good luck anyway!!!
