Looking to buy an 84 chevy that the guy advertised as a 1-ton with dana 60 front but on the phone he said it was a K30. When I asked if he was for sure on the D60 front, he said, pretty sure but not 100%. Then I asked him if he could tell the difference between a 60 and 44 and he said no. So I'm wondering if K20's ever came with a D60 front?

Just ask him if it has 3 ubolts or 4 . The d60 only has 3 .

3 u bolts mounting the front axle to spring? Why only 3????

Thanx for the answer. I called him back and he said it had 4 u-bolts up front. Oh well!

3- because on a dana-60 the passenger side has one u-bolt and two bolts that goes into the housing + the drivers side 2=3..

And the front axle would be a 8 lug 10 bolt.
