If you want to part it out, I need the housing itself, the tubes can be cut off at the knuckles. All I need is the cover, and the carrier bearing straps and bolts..

Your probably going to get more that way then selling the whole unit.

Let me know..

I'm sure they would, but I'd just retube it for the pass side drop.

Could you just swap sides? ie, reverse everything and use all the same parts minus the tubes? Don't want to have to buy all new everything. Also, are the rotors real expensive, gears, lockers and such? I asume the strength is the same as all d60 fronts.

I'll trade ya, I've got a Dodge 60, 4.10's and Posi, Supposedly rebuilt by the guy I bought it from. It's passenger's drop, with drive flanges, only part missing is the calliper mounting hardware.

I have a 86 GM 60 that has had the knuckles rebuilt, and has the u-bolt plates and u-bolts. I just geared it and locked it (5.13 and detroit) so those parts would go with me (or +cash) but I am interested in a swap.

If you pay less than $1500 on a complete RC d60 you got a ok deal, but basicaly the going price. anything less than a $1000 and you stole it. I paid $1400 for a complete 87 rc d60

I thought the HP 60's with the King Pins were from the late 1970's ... not the late 1980's like the auction says that one is.

And the ARB guide says the late 1980's F350 Ford fronts were Dana 50's, 1.31" shafts, and 30 spline.

That one looks like a 1978-9 Ford HP front with King Pins just like the one I just snagged ...

What's up with that?

You dont swap anything but the shafts. Take it to a rear end shop and have them retube it so the long side is short and the short side is long.

I may be wrong but if you get a pas side diff then it will not be RC. I think only ford came with the RC. So Retubing it would be a good way to go. RC is stronger than SC.

This one (RC60 on Ebay) is definately from a 80's+ F350. The 78-79 RC60's have a longer distance from the driver leaf spring mount to the knuckle.

80's f350 will have RC60's NOT D50's.

Yes, it does look like the 78-79 RC60. Everything except the pinion to knuckle distance on the drivers side.

I can get a BJ RC60 for cheap if anyone is interested. Its from a fire recovery and will need a rebuild but its still a RC60. Give me an offer and I will see what I can do.

"JUST" is not the right word. yes you can do it but it is a major project. but it is done all the time.

The 80 to 85 1/2s were the ttb 50. But then ford got smart and put the solid reverse 60 in. Not sure about the switch to bj. The 86 rc60 that i had was kingpin.
