I hope to have the SOA and sheet metal work done my sometime in late June or early July, then there is nothing but assembly and testing left!! The 2F awaits on a JimC carb and Non-USA dist, the SM420 has new bearings/synchros/snaprings coming this weekend and will be complete by the weekend. the front axle will be done today - if UPS gets here with my new calipers. Superbirfs were attempted to be ordered today, but got Bobby's voicemail, and the ARBs should be oreder byu the end of the week!!:smokin:

Sad news is, I lose my garage (expansion over the garage) to construction in 2 wks for the summer! :mad:

Geez, I thought there was just a gasket and adaptor plate between the sm420 and the 3sp t-case. :rasta:

Darn, right after I get Spaceghost's adaptor, I decide to do something really big!! Oh well, I do have a second SM420!!:smokin:

With that rock box and the 420 that thing is going to crawl

I think it gets you to like 260 something. Super creepy..


one suggestion, get as many case protectors as you can.. John Pardi's, reddogs, etc.. It creeped me out when I had to give the old beast gas on upper heldorado.. I was just waiting for the sound of aluminum cracking...

Should be 7.05 X 2.28 X 2.313 X 4.11 = 152.8:1, if I got the 4.7 gear, then its 315:1!!! That's more than I think I'll need.

I'm already thinking about the tcase savers!! Cheap insurance!!

They told me three weeks. If that happens the timing may be perfect - frame and tub work could be done, just waiting for the drive train parts to be dropped in, but if its a little later, that's okay too!:D

well i guess i wont be ordering today:( they dont have it for they cruiser trannies yet, couple months, so i guess i'll stick to the rocbox since it has a lower gear and same money. 158:1 will work for me.
