Anyone have one? I have a chance to buy one for $400, I went and looked at it and its in decent shape and lays a bead good. I am just a little worried about finding parts for it if I need them.

Linde was purchased by ESAB.
Call an ESAB dealer and ask 'em about the machine - they could probably answer your Q's or point you in the right direction. $400 sounds like a fair deal even though it's an older machine.

Arc Products has some parts for Linde welders.

ESAB has manuals for some Linde equipment on line, but they didn't have much for parts.

$400 is probably a safe play as there is probably $400 worth of copper in it at todays scrap price. The other bonus is your friends won't ask to borrow it.

I like how the welding cylinder matches you welder... :D:D:D

Maybe I need to paint my cylinders blue...

I don't have a Linde 255, but I do have a Linde 100. It has been a good welder so far but is a little light for some of the stuff I'd like to weld. As has been mentioned, the best part of owning it is that nobody asks to borrow it.

I didn't realize that ESAB bought them out though. That's nice to know when it comes time to find parts.

Linde (Now ESAB) made their welders in Florence S.C., so they should be local for you.
