My neighbor has a Lincoln 250 with about 40 hours on it, think it's worth $500?

It is worth it if it is a mig welder. You would pay about same price for a 130 amp 110v welder new (brand name).

So I just found out that it's a stick welder with TIG attachments. Might be worthwhile to resell it but think I'm going to hold off for a MIG.

it's probably an idealarc 250, they are set up to weld stick but are easy to use a tig rig with.
