Was that one of the old Fat City Jeeps?.

Yes it was built originally by Fat City from what I understand. It still has the outline of the Fat City decals faded out on the top of the roof.

I heard the next event at the Hammer is at night. cant make it to that one. But i am planning to go out there to there next big event,if givin enough notice,so just let me know when? I am in the process of moving my front axle forward about 5 inches and running a 56 inch springs with unibals in it instead of bushings, also am putting in Longfields D60 CV biefield inners/outers into my front D60 and beefing up the knuckles since they have a history of breaking the top off and full hydr. steering and lowering the truck 2 inches. keep me posted on the next events coming up please,later

I will probably sas it eventually. Its pretty fun the way it is, though. Makes big bear a blast when it wasnt a challenge in the MJ.

I traded the MJ to RKCRAWLER on the board for his toyota. I have since got rid of the toyota. But he still has the MJ in Tenessee. I miss that thing, I always find myself saying like a poser "...if I still had the Comanche i'd own that section..."

Hey mjlogan88, I met you a few years back at Big Bear, my junk blew a birf back when I was running stockers on Holcolmb Valley Trail and you and a few other guys pulled over to lend a hand. I was with a guy in a Scout II with a 6.5 GM Diesel motor.

My junk is a little less stock now, been around a while but do a lot more reading than posting. Here's a few pics from last Hammers trip back in May.

That was my first thought too, but I don't think it is.

Maybe up off of the Bradshaw Trail? Or down in San Diego Cty somewhere? (Superstition area?) Looks too tight for the Red Rock Canyons.

It's Sandstone Canyon in or maybe just outside Ocotillo Wells. I think that's the name??? Maybe it's Split Mountain Trail. Sandstone is a trail with fun rocks in Split Mtn.

I'm almost imbarassed to put this up, but hey.....It's finally ready to go hit the trails! This is my so called "rig" obviously not near as hardcore as the rest of you guys, but I guess that just means you'll be able to pull me out when my inexperience shows it's ugly face. I want to join some of you guys on a run so I can learn how to drive this thing the right way. What would be a good first run for me and my "rig" ?

Truckhaven Hills down by the Salton Sea is a great place to learn. Terrain is as hard as you want to make it with hill climbs, washes and ditches to play in.
Pick a weekend and there's usually people out there, Turkey weekend is coming up and gets pretty crowded. The great thing is you travel over a few mesa's and you can be all alone. Google Salton City to bring up a map, a lot of people come in off N. Marina drive but there's other roads in.

bought runner from colorado, came with some good parts, duals, arb's, i put all new suspention under and 529's, wheels, bumpers, sliders, motor, dshafts,

'88 Chevy Blazer. TBI 5.7, TH400, NP205, DRW Dana 60, 14FF 4.56 Detroits. 56" front springs, stock rear with shackle flip = about 4" lift, plenty of body hack/smash/sledge. Tires are 12.00 R20 = 44" tall 12" wide (used to be willyswanter's) Michelin XMLs on cheap 20" wheels. 3"x4"x5' Solid steel rear bumper/hitch for weight distribution. :D

Needs truggied, doubler, move rear axle back with 56" springs, trac bar, 1410 driveshafts...

I usually go to Ocotillo 6-8 times a season but this year with work being slow I think I will only make it 2 maybe 3times this season. :( One guy that goes out there with me has a mild `87 yj. He lets me drive it (since mine is apart and teaching him to wheel). It's fun wheeling a farily stock rig again. Makes me appreciate what my rig will do and the time/$$ spent on it!!:smokin:

yeah works a little slow for me too :laughing: We need to hit up truckhaven or ocotillo together soon!

I usually go to Ocotillo 6-8 times a season but this year with work being slow I think I will only make it 2 maybe 3times this season. :( One guy that goes out there with me has a mild `87 yj. He lets me drive it (since mine is apart and teaching him to wheel). It's fun wheeling a farily stock rig again. Makes me appreciate what my rig will do and the time/$$ spent on it!!:smokin:

dude im lovin the tow rig man!!! i would assume it has the 454 right? how do those old rigs do with towing? I think an older rig like that is all i could afford, plus i think its just down right cool.

Thanks..I dig them too..It tow with no problems.. Its got alot of gear and a small tire so t tow at around 65.The truck has air bags on it so the weight is not a big deal..It turns the old guys heads and its for sale..3000obo

yup i love my bobbed long bed specs are 22r stock 5.29s front and rear both loaded with aussies on 35bfg mt have a.o.r. front leaves hysteer allpro hanger and tapped steering box sitting in my garage i have a header and 2 1/4 exhaust with a punched cat from the previous motor sitting in my garage as well waiting to get the smog done and its going back on thats all i can think of for now its my first bob job i did it a couple weeks ago wich u can see here

2004.5 3500 with kore suspension and other upgrades and my 2001 TJ with many upgrades, Oh! sorry about the cobra, my socom 16 in 308, and the end of tarzan.One more thing thats our aircraft 330 on fire this last year at LAX, I work for A.A. and we wrer doing a engine run to find out why the left engine wasn't comming up to speed with the right and then kaboom! the engine was found to be cracked at the 2nd stage.

Don't be jealous, that thing is sick but so is froggy I'd wheel it any day.

**edit: I just saw the pictures in the other post. Froggy won't wheel too good with a broken T case or on its lid. Good luck on the rebuild.

Hijack. I've never paid much attention to them - how do you build a cherokee big without them tearing apart since they're unibody? My one tons and 44s killed my blazer body/frame...

Oh, and I have another rig now. Needs some semigloss black rattlecan love.
