I'm looking for a turbocharger for an 85 4Runner 22re - so far I haven't been able to find anything - does anyone have any one know where I might be able to find one?

A stock 22re doesn't have a turbo charger on it. A 22ret has one. Get A manifold and a flange and what ever one you want to run.

Try lcengineering.com (http://www.lcengineering.com/index.php) if you want a kit... or look at ebay for some old toy stuff.

T3's are all over eBay for cheap and are a common swap for guys converting from the CT series factory turbo. You do realize what a can or worms you're opening with this turbo idea, right?

in my experience with them, you dont want one. Unless you like 91 octane, and a motor that wont last a long time.

So buy it, blow it up, and sell me the 5spd.:flipoff2:

You'll need to somehow drop the compression on the stock 22re and drill for the oil line to the turbo. I would put on an intercooler, cuz they just get to damn hot and detonate fuel without one, unless you run no boost, in which case why have one?

HE'S RIGHT BY THE WAY. IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER AGAIN...I WOULD SPEND THE MONEY ON BETTER SHIT. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I LIKE THE POWER BUT THERE'S JUST A POINT WHEN IT'S NOT WORTH IT - AND YOU'LL CLEAR IT BY A MILE. I'M ALREADY HOOKED...GOING TO MEGASQUIRT ECU SOON. TURN BACK BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

OH, WELCOME TO THE PBB :flipoff2:

turbo on an offroad vehicle isnt the most ideal. ive read a lot of threads here and dont recal anyone ever putting a turbo on their engines before. and not becasue its expensive. ive read some real high dollar threads. guys that could afford it. but like above, save turbos for street cars. its not often your in the rpm range offroad that turbos strive in. spend the money on intake, head, exhaust and valvetrain mods. thoes mods give you tourque gains, which is more desirable and needed on a 22re
