Just picked up my first Scout. I am getting deployed and would like to leave the thing at a shop to get some work done while Im gone. Anyone know of a good place to send it in the Seattle Tacoma area? Thanks.

Thanks Jeff.

Seattle Tacoma area?

We are 45 min drive from Tacoma, and a 45 minute ferry ride from Seattle. Located in Bremerton right off the highway. We offer a shuttle service for seattle Ferry riders. I can drop you off at the ferry after you come over with the rig. Give me a call Monday-Saturday8-6 and lets discuss the scope of these upgrades. I work with alot of the Military Enlisted from Bangor, PSNS, and Keyport. They leave them with me while out to sea, and the wife/g-friend/family member comes and picks it up and pays so its waiting for you when you get back. Its a nice thing to return home to after a deployment:D

Im in hte Air Force stationed at McChord AFB. Thank you for your support. Being close to Seattle I get alot of people that have very different views of military members, so it is nice to hear that we are supported.

As far as what Im looking to have done, I am having problems with the idle. The truck runs great down the highway at 60mph but at a stop light is wont stay running. Whatever needs to be done to fix that is my main priority. ONce that is taken care of I will move on to the more fun parts like eventualy running some 35s so I can go play some. Thanks for all the help guys. Ill get ahold of some of the mentioned shops and see what we can work out.

Aaron

PS, cant really give out info on where I am going, sorry. Information security and all that jazz.

He's a wing nut so he only has about a 25% chance of that!!
They don't send them there if there is no air conditioning in the hotels!!
That would be considered "Inadequate quarters".:)

I know how bad that sounds to some people, but its true. I was in Al Udeid Qatar a while back were temps reach the 130's during the day. Us fragile Air Force guys cant handle it so we get nice air conditioned rooms. What can I say, I cant complain if they make me sleep in a cool 72 degree room at night.

But I can say that I work on a C17. Our plane has a crazy range so it doesnt need to be based close to the action to do its job. We fly in, drop off the load, and get out, back to safety and our air conditioned rooms!:flipoff2:

You shouldn't have to leave it at a shop for more than a day for that work. I wouldn't travel far to get it done either, just cost you more money in fuel for the drive.

I have talked to him and he needs more than just carb work. Also, I have a $60 pick up fee. I'll travel up to 200 miles and pick the rig up. That way he doesn't have to worry about how its gonna get here. Almost every customer has chose this option.

Actually, I hear Dan coupled with Bill is a great combo for TBI. There's cheaper ways of doing it you know.

Would have been nice to come home to. More faithful then a girlfriend!:D

I have a son stationed in Whidbey, so if your close he may be interested in it for parts or a spare depending on condition.
