the splines are worn out in my 76 CJ steering column, so I need a new one. YJ's are easier to find around here, and the columns probably don't have the slop that junkyard CJ columns do. Are they the same length and same wiring harnesses plugs? I have a borgeson shaft, so will I need to replace the ujoint for a different spline count?

i think you should get a colom out of a 7....they are much stronger then the ones out of the CJ's....i havent striped mine yet and i am running 44" boggers

You'll need a different joint for the top of your Borgeson. The YJ column uses a keyed output...CJ is splined.
