Aspect ratios vary between .80 and 1.00 according to http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/Tech/Tires.html , which would make a 7.00-15 between 26.2 and 29 inches tall, a 7.00-16 between 27.2 and 30 inches tall, and a 7.50-16 between 28 and 31 inches tall.

Odd ? :flipoff2:

These sizes aren't odd, man. They're just a bit old-fashioned truck sizes here in Europe.
The aspect ratio is almost of the time 100.
The tire width and height are not that accurate either.
On my BJ40, I have 7.50X16 tires that are wider than 235 series (9.5" in theory) and taller than 31". (in fact, I compared one of my spares with a 35" tornchicken. Tornchicken won by 1.5" in O/A height.

If you really want to know what size they truly are, you should measure them. 7.50X16 are more often 32X8"...

I run factory toyota 5.5" split rims BTW, and it works fairly well.
These truck tires need be deflated for having good sidewall flex (my SAG bias with 10psi did flex less than 235/85R16MTs with 25psi or so. I just went 7psi then :D )

God bless the tubes ! :beer:

denis is right.

7.50x16 = 32"
7.0x16 = 31"
7.0x15 = 29.5"

as a rule of thumb.

Still available from Goodyear in a hard a$$ compound tire called the workhorse extra grip. Last's forever, great in snow/muck, but HARD as hell.

wife's disco runs 7.00x15s and they are almost exactly 30in. My SAGs which are 7.50sx16 are 32in or so.
