Looking to connect up a "4 flat" connecter to my '89 YJ so i can pull a trailer. Anyone done a write up, or does someone sell an "inline" adapter?

Off the 4 wire plug connector:
Yellow - left turn signal
Green - right turn signal
Brown - parking lights
White - ground
Easy as pie, it'll take you about 15 minutes. Don't know about the inline adapter, but you don't really need it with a YJ.

I just went to wallymart and bought a 4 foot 4 wire flat plug kit for 3 bucks and spliced it in. They even label the wires for you.
If you don't want to splice wires, here is a harness for about 20 bucks. The stealer wants about 40 for the same harness.

Dan, thanks, but mines an 89. They don't make 'em for before 91 (even shows that on your linked page).
Kendo. looked again (i was in rush to get out of the office). you are talking about the wires coming from the 4flat. i'm talking about the 3 wires in the Jeep harness headed to the left rear lights. Not the same colours as the colours you spoke of.
Ah, well. a buddy of mine still has the FSM for the '89. If its not in my Chilton (and i bet it ain't :D), the wiring diag will be in there.
thanks again for the help.
