What is a good WMS to WMS dimension for aftermarket differentials on a TJ?

kind of depends on what you want... Everyones going to tell you something different. :shaking:

For most people going a little wider is prefered. You figure 60" is stock. Id go 65" if I was getting new axles made.

Be more specific.

I would say trail riding with some rock crawling thrown in for good fun. Some street use too. Tire size is going to be 36-37" for street and 37-39" for wheeling. Lift size,,,I am sure at least 6" or more to get the big tires to work, body and fenders will get trimmed to help with clearance.

63 to 65 inches, depending on local fender laws would be my choice.

65" is a good balance. I want to go wider just because. If a Hummer H1 can make it through the trails I run, I can do with a little extra stability. Probably prevent the flop I had last week. So, I'm going with whatever width a Ford F250 HPD44 is...around 67", and a 9" to match.
