I am planning on buying a few tools that I will use for the buildup of the new ride. I need a drill press, 4" grinder, and portaband. How are the HF tools for this? I just toasted my Makita grinder last night (Axle fell on it). For the price of the grinder, I can't go wrong. I found the drill press for $60.00 also http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=44505
How about this for the bandsaw http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=47840
Thanks

Dima, there is a great thread here on what to buy and what not.
Definitely get the grinder, I have had a few different ones, Bosch, Makita, etc, and the harbor freight honestly kicks ass! That seems like a good deal on the porta band! I was at HF on Saturday and got some stuff I needed :D
I think Todd has a coupon of 20% off online that does not expire as well, I will try finding his link and post up.

I agree, but some of their stuff is kinda hard to pass up. I can buy 5 of the grinders for the price of one makita grinder.
I think I will get a used drill press and portaband on Craigslist.

Dima, check their ads, I think the 4 1/2 grinders are going for about $19 or $9 if I am not mistaken! Heck I think you can not go wrong with their grinders. Be careful with their grinder discs and sawzall blades though I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM as tehy will break apart or explode, trust me on that :)

How about the flap disks? I need those, and the local Home Cheapo does not ahve them for a 4" grinder.

Yes and no.
Sometimes the only extra you get when you pay more for something is a brand name.
This especially holds true for big stores.
