I went with a 3 core with 1'' cores in the stock V8 scout 800 end tanks and it works killer. My Tbi 350 is kind not stock either :grinpimp:

Pick any GM radiator that will fit the opening from summit. And install. If you had a stock V8 it can be mad to work with universal rad. hoses.

Or you could just take the rad to a shop and have the nipples changed to accomodate the GM stuff.

Damm you must be hanging with HOS to have nipples.:D

I don't like the way a stock Scout II rad mounts, as any stress ( Flop )on the fenders could tear the end caps loose and cause a leak. I would search on other posts here and you will see how they clamped it in place, top and bottom vs bolting the end caps to the inner fenders. :shaking: If you have a good Scout II rad and just want to use it, thats another story as the in and out connections are on not in the same locations as a stock GM. Best to just get a GM rad and put a tranny/PS cooler on the bottom or top as they are not as tall.

When I swapped in a 350 Chev into my 75, I used a radiator from a 78 J**p Wagoneer. I run a 4spd (SM-465) so I got one from standard equiped vehicle, but if you are running a slushbox there were plenty that came with auto's.
Mines been in for 4 years now and works great.

a 4 core radiator from a 68 camero with a big block works perfectly for a Scout II............brackets mount on the outside of the core support instead of on the inside like the factory one...............it is what I use and I even run the factory p/u mechanical fan and no shroud and is runs at 160 degrees all day long except on loooong hill climbs it will get to 195 degrees but it cools off quickly
