Figuring out a secondary seal for the knuckle end of the tubes on a hybrid frontend and need to know how much the dana 44 axles move around (not in and out).

I heard 3/16" but that seems like quite a bit of movement up and down.

I think that if the bearings in the spindle and the u-joints are in good shape, there would be very little movement. The inner axle can't move around without the outer moving the same amount.
