Anyone have any problem on a FS chevy with inboarding, both shocks mounted on the top/back of the axle and axle wrap?

you would have better luck mounting them on the front and bottom of the axle to prevent wrap. Mounting them on top and on the back only lets the wrap see rebound travel, which is generally next to no pressure or negative pressure. mounting them on the bottom/front would provide compression in the shock travel, not rebound.

In other words, if you put the shock in the front, on the bottom, and it will slow the effects of spring wrap.

If you put the shock on the top and back, it will enhance spring wrap, and allow the rear to unload faster (bounce more).

hope this helps.:smokin:

If the shock is located at the top of the axle housing wouldnt it be in the center and not the rear? Unless Im not understanding......?

I am going to mount them high on the back of the axle tube with DIY4x.com mounts. I would stagger them, but it looks simpler to mount them both on the back.

Shocks don't realy help much with axle wrap anyway....put them ware they are protected and they fit and build an axle wrap bar...
