gonna put the better of the 2 options on a buddies YJ , he has stiff pro comp springs and is looking for more flex.

we can go either way, just need to know which is better and where to put what, what setup should we go with on the front?
thanks,
pics and any input would help.

which is better: being flamed by everyone or using the search button

Neither. Do it right and get rid of the procrap.

a search tells me what buggy springs are, and what the revolvers are, that does not give my others oppinion on which setup is better now does it?

Dont bother with either one until you do a spring over conversion. That mod alone will be well worth the time and effort.

I agree with Bigfoot but my answer would be home made revolvers because they are easy to mount and you have nothing to change or mount.

Go the revolver route, you can use Waggy shackles for the upper shackle.

Actually you're wrong on that one smart guy. A search about revolvers or missing-link shackles will tell you about a lot of problems that members of this BB have had with them.

Thanks for the entertainment know-it-all:rolleyes:

Neither.

Both are just a band-aid articulation fix, mostly for the ramp....

I've seen 'em on friend's and foe's Heeps. Unless you really open 'em up, they're useless. Good for ramps though, if that's what your 'friend' is into. SOA that mo fo

Get rid of the pro crap springs and you'll do far better than the goofy leaf or missing link.

I cant beleive everyone has so many problems with flex from procomp yj springs. I am running them on my commando and
the flex sweet as hell. The main problem I see is the shackle angle
that they have if you use the factory mounting points. I run them
about 1 inch closer spring eye to spring eye. Then use a 1" or so
lift shackle with a nice angle on the shackle. Because the yj has
such wide perch to perch measurements they dont give good leverage on the springs. You will need to run heavy wide wheel/
tire combo.

My brother has procomp and his flexes almost as much as a SOA...He has a little longer shackles with body lift and is flexs great. Hes about to do a SOA setup though...(just tryin to be like the cruzah :flipoff2:)

O yeah, I would go with the buggy springs and have a tab on each side come down so you can bolt them if your driving in town. Plus you can use pretty much any old springs and carry lots of spares :flipoff2:
