I think I heard a thing or two about a 2wd tracker with an auto trans.... that would be ideal but what year are they EFI? and is it a weekend swap to EFI.. I know about the adapters and what not but like wiring in a efi ??

Your easiest swap comes from any 1.6 with 8 valves.
With that setup, you can easily bolt your intake and exhaust manifolds up. All the Samurai stuff works.
16v engines have better power (I love mine!!!), but plan on it being a long term project instead of a one day engine swap.

moto261 and I got my 16valve in on a saturday and where out wheeling ut on sunday morning:smokin: if you are looking at swapping to efi you need to build the wiring harness that the motor came with or have someone else build it and it is a pretty easy swap after that:D

Brent at Trail Tough sells the converted wiring harness. Scwafish bought one from him and it was very well done and well worth the price IMHO. It took me around 8 hours to swap in my 8-valve. The wiring shouldn't take that much monger if you have the pre-made harness.

The TT harness made it a no-brainer...definitely worth the dough. My rig fired right up after major surgery, not bad!
