I've got a couple 9" questions.
A - where would I look to find a housing about 62-63" wide
B - it is worth the money for a new housing? A Moser housing is 500-600 bucks, a Currie is about 400 bucks, A Giant motorsports like like $1300 (with four link mounts and truss)...
C - what would be optimal gearing for 34-36" tires? 4.86 or 5.14?
D - could you simply widen a 60" EB 2 inches with wheel spacers?

1972 2wd F100's have 62" wms-wms housings...so do many cars from that era but they may be small bearing. The truck housing is big bearing.
New housings are alot stronger than stock housings
for your BII, I'd probably give it a 5.14:1 ratio for 36's.
you can widen it by 3", 1.5" spacers are standard size for the ones that come with the second set of studs for safety purposes.

okay, I'll just try an find a set of wheel spacers then, and find a 59-60" housing instead. Probably easier to find...

ya, strength wise for a bII you should be more than fine with stock housing, if your worried or doing a linked rear susp then truss it.

If you're looking to replace what you have and want to seach the savage yards.
Here is a page with axle sizes http://www.ridgenet.net/~biesiade/Fordrears.html
and another http://mustangsandmore.com/ubb/FordRearDimensions.html
And to calculate what gears you need here is a site with what you need.
