working on my friends zuki with 2.8 we found one problem, the 2.8 can't rev past 4000 rpm's for long periods compared to the rev limit of the 1.3. How do the Diesel guys counter the rev prob given their low rev limit or do they keep it in the dirt and off the highway.

our zuki has stock gears and 215 tires......soon to be 31's but still wouldn't help that much.......help we don't want to go so slow........

What are you talkin' 'bout? You still got stock gears or what? Stock gears, diesel, I do 80 if I want, cruise at 65 mostly, rev limiter should kick in about 100 but my Zuk isn't really comfy at more than 70. At 3 grand or so you should be doing a pretty good clip. Maybe you need a 1:1 t-case - like a Nissan or divorced Toy.

On ours we have 32" tires and a 4.16 tcase. I feel comfortable running it to about 75mph, but don't go over that because of the RPM's. If I had 6th gear, we'd use it.

You're just plain geared too low for that engine, drivetrain, and tires combination. Either finda way to put in taller gears, or jack that bad boy up & throw on a set of 35s.
