well i went to the Junk Yards yesterday all 10 of them. and couldnt find any cars with a floor shifter.:mad3: So i started looking onlin at shifters and the cheapest i found was a little under 200$. which i could do but would have to go into the aluminum radiator fund.

Has anyone ever made a floor shifter?
all my tranny has on it is one shifter rod, i am missiong some parts?
any pics of your set ups?

If your gonna spend $200 buy an aftermarket shifter. No a junkyard piece.

I ended up getting a B&M used on here for $75. It works like a champ. Keep your eyes open. I see aftermarket shifters used all the time in the ~$100 price range.

B&M Unimatic shifters are just over $100 from Summit. I've got one in my F-100. They are tall, and better suited to a truck anyway...

83-84 2wd rangers with an auto are a 3 speed with a floor shifter... so that is also a possibility.

Thats how the shift pattern is set up you can get either one you like.

Reverse shift pattern is for use with a reverse pattern valve body. Commonly a race only patten. Unless you have a -3 shift kit in your trans use the standard pattern. The two are not interchangeable.

My friend grabbed a B&M starshifter for just under $100 for my c6. Blew me away, just showed up with it one day. To be fair, he got it at a sporting goods store that was shutting down most of their auto parts department.

I bought a $45 special at Pep Boys about two yrs ago. Had to cut and weld a couple of the brackets it came with to get it to work on my C6. I'm thinking about doing something better, but it works for now.
