Had to take this really great old compressor home from a gargage sale...
"Muscles" the old guy who passed away and owned this was a life long El Paso Natural Gas employee and their best local (4-Corners) compressor guy.
*Natural gas is compressed locally by huge compressor units then piped underground into major trunks going as far as California.*
His grown daughter, who I bought it (and some cool other stuff) from, said this big red guy was his sweetheart and that most anything mechanical of his was in tip top shape.
He had it plumbed undergound to various places in the back of his house and into his gagage/shop.
She said he'd brought home and rebuilt this ole red compressor when she was a little girl and it sounds the same now (like Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang) as it did over 40 years ago.
It really DOES sound neat ... and builds pressure like nothing I've seen! :smokin:

Went to a junkyard from the 60's the other day (lotta old stuff there) and saw a compressor with a gas engine on it. It looked very similar to those above and it had the cutest little gas tank on it, looked like about a quart! Truly "old-school OBA" I guess LOL
