You must mean this one from last years SEMA show. Link (http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/01/sema-fj-cruiser-soft-top/) to more information about it. My buddy that works for Toyota has not heard anything definitive about building an SUT version of the FJC.

looks way better than the full on suv version. seal the corners of the bed, and rhino the plastic white. put some beer in it, fill with ice and give it a little umbrella. you will have a 40k cooler.

I really liked the looks of that Jeep pickup posted a few weeks ago, but would feel too claustrophobic in a cab where I couldn't recline the seats back...
Now *this* is a little better:D
How long would you guys say the "bed" is with the tailgate down? 5' or so? It would be perfect if it was big enough to put a motorcycle in there with the gate down.
(that was another thing against the Jeep version, it had a swing out gate instead of drop down type  stoopid...)

I talked to some ARB and Toyota officials up at a sportsman show up around Seattle. They said that toyota wasnt and isnt goin to do a topless version because of safty issues. All they care about now are 5 star crash test ratings. They even mentioned that jeep would eventually do awy with the removable tops on the wranglers too.

No plans for an FJ Pickup at this time.
And plus, that SEMA truck had something like a 2' long bed.
The thing that most people missed on that SEMA truck was that it had a supercharged 4.7' under the hood. :smokin:

My POS F250 is back in the shop and I'm driving my wife's FJC. I could have used that 2' bed to haul a deer the other night. I had to call a buddy. If I would have gotten blood in the FJ it would be game over.
