Looks good. Tell us what kind of bender you got. Do you not catch hell for working in the street like that?

It's the Harbor Frieght elcheapo bender. I tied in the rear only, the front I tied in right above the body mount. As for the traveler it's just a parts rig, 1980 diesel. As far as working on my truck in the street, the only trafic are my neighbors and they don't mind.

Hey what size tubing are to using my HF binder collaspes the tube. Yours doesn't look like it collasped your tube. The cage looks good.

I fit it all with the top on it, so all the bends follow the shape of the top. Then I took the top off and did all the welding. I'm also gonna make a removable shelf in the back for my coolers, it will be the hieght of the side. Parts and camping gear will go under the shelf. I'll do that tomorrow.

Mike,
That looks good. Can you get a close up shot of the bends?
BTW, If I had a Scout sitting on the street on jackstands I'd get a ticket pronto. :D

Does the Traveler have an engine?

Ok, we need some details, the bends look good to me. Is that 1.75 dia tube? What size dies did you use?

I like the cage design, I want the same thing to keep the kids safe.

The pipe is 1.5 SH 40. I used the inch and a half die. When making a 90* I stagered the bend so it would not crush the pipe. All the other bends (less then a 90*) I didn't have to.

Very impressive indeed.
