I know I know, Its about time.
I traded in the XJ and bought a 1999 Chev. Tahoe 2 door sport utility.
Vortec 350. Auto Loaded.
Time to mount the electric brake controler and CB and WWWOOOOHOOOO!.
Towed the boat today, and it didnt even know it was back there. I think it should be no sweat with the TJ.

Hmmm, I had a 97 Yukon GT 2 door, and towed my Flatty, which weighs WAY less than a TJ. All I can say is you better get yourself a Featherlight trailer for that. The truck and trailer threw my Yukon all over the place. I mean it had plenty of power, but the tow was a little scary. If you manage to keep the weight down on the truck and trailer, and load it well, you should have no problem.

hey Belly you might need to get a load equalizer hitch and a sway-controller. You might be able to borrow CJ's trailer and test out towing your jeep. I don't thing you want to borrow mine (35' gooseneck )

As far as the load equalizer goes, I know someone that might not need there's anymore.
Them things cost about 4 hundred bucks.
If my friend dont want theres its mine.
I already thought about the sway thingy.
Towing the boat was no problem so far. And its quite heavy. so I am hoping the TJ will be the same.
AS far as low gears. We can always regear if it dont have the power.
