The thirds interchange back to front, Toyota 8 inch, the V6 3rds are slightly stronger, easier to work on, more expensive, can't lincoln lock them, drop in. HP 8 inch thirds with electric lockers are possible with minor mods, come from FJ-80s. Get a V6 or HP front, detroit. Get a V6 detroit or 4banger welded rear. Get a set of Longfields, or learn to swap birfs in 20 minutes with one hand. Dual cases require adapter, top-loading second case. Put a full length gussest on the front axle. 2 inch lift shackles will fit 35s with fender chopping. Bob the bed, tube armor all around, and you'll leave the LC at home cause the PU will be more fun to wheel in. Essentially everything from 79-85 PU or 4Runner will swap. IM GONNA GET WRANGLER 2 " SPRINGS UP FRONT, ALREADY HAS 2" LONGER SHACKLES, MOVE THE AXLE FORWARD 1-1.5"......2" BODY LIFT AND THROW 38 12.50 SWAMPERS UNDER IT.... IT HAS 488 GEARS BUT THE REAR LOCKER IT MAKING A HELL OF A NOISE WITH NO LOAD....PROBABLY JUST WELD IT FOR NOW....
