I just installed my Yukons 4.57 bought on North Coast offroad on Suzuki housings, my comments over products are as follows:

NCOR customer service and delivery:
Excellent

4.57 R&P set:
Looks strong, much more than early Richmonds. I am breaking them in now, I need 300 miles more.

Mini instalation Kit:

Terrible!!, crush sleeve is absolutelly unusefull, is so thin and weak that after installed and run 50 miles, I had to disamble all back and change it for the Suzuki OEM.
I started to hear a noise on rear axle, after disamble, I found that crush sleeve was hiting bearing and started to wear. Was not a installation problem, problem is the Yukon sleeve fit too loose inside 3rd member housing.

Shims are to wide, diameter should be like OEM.

Recap: R&P looks to be ok, Inst Kit sucks and Sticker is great.

Keep in mind to follow proper breaking procedure on those gears. you have to resists the urge to go wheeling for the first 500 miles. Also, don't dump your clutch or place excessive torque on the gears while they're hot during that breakin period.

Probably the most common cause for gear failure is impatience on breaking them in. Do it right, you'll be happier in the long run.

Sounds like you're on the right track though if you have 300 miles on them so far!

I hope to do it right, I run it over jack stands for 20 min, left them get cool , drive for 50 miles, left them to get cool, and know I am in the long process to drive extra 500 miles wisely.

Wisely driving habits have to be maintained not also for Gears, also because I am still running stock axles with 33"

How was the install? I am thinking of getting these gears and doing the install myself. Never setup ring and pinion before, but I can get some help.

How is the gearing on the street / hwy?

I think i remember seeing a how-to install article at IZOOK for doing the axle gears. Might be a good place to start for reference.

In general though, Sammys are super easy compared to other vehicles. Just plop that 3rd member on a workbench and do what you gotta do. A factory service manual would be money very well spent for gear swapping.

If you have any technical questions on any of the setup, please feel free to fire us off an email!

Following the instructions is easy, the only important matter is to reach a good pattern. To do so, you have to spend a lot of time putting and removing shims between pinion and bearing and setting backlash.

Gearing on street is good, but I did not try on highway yet, seem to be at 3.800 rpm at 60 mph

I've had the Yukon 4.57 gears for almost a year now. I've put several thousand miles on them, including lots of rockcrawling and highway miles, and I haven't had a single problem with them. They're quiet and strong.

Id like to get rid of the "crush sleeve" and do a solid sleeve with shims.
