During a crazy deathwobble there must have been enough slack in my trans mount to allow my tcase hit my crossmember and it knocked a tiny hole in it. What's the best way to fix this, and what's the cheapest way to fix this?:D I'm sure tig'ing it is possible, but could JB weld do the trick?

It's gonna be a pain in the ass either way. You'll have to get every bit of oil out of the metal to get anything to stick to it.

Time for a 241 doubler.

You can JB that, no prob. Like already said, just be sure to clean it up real good (this means disassembling the case and cleaning the area up with some solvent)

I would try the JB weld first without pulling the case. If it dosent hold you can always pull it.

Aceton seems to get into the aluminum deeper for cleaning. JB weld should work well if the prep is good enough. Permatex also makes an aluminum epoxy, that I've had fairly good luck with. Think they call it metal mender or have seen intake manifold repair kits, same stuff.
