i would think that you could take some chevy flat top knuckles, outers, spindles & combine it with some for f-150 hubs rotors and bearings and you could have cj pattern

grab the lockouts for spares and leave the rest. pass drop low pinion 44's are a dime a dozen.

that looks to be a dana 44 out of a 1972-1974 dodge pickup truck.I cant really see if it has coil mounts or leaf spring mounts.It may be older then that even.

That's what I'm thinking as well.

You could do the GM outers with ford brakes setup to get discs, but I would think it would be cheaper and easier to find something that already has discs on it to start with.

As far as value goes, it really depends. It seems that old 4x4 parts are somewhat hard to come by around here lately so it may be more valuable in a place like this than it would be in some of the more heavily populated areas that seem to have a lot more parts to choose from.

Looks exactly like the front axle I pulled out of my '72 Travelall, same as my '73 IH pickup. The shock mounts look the same.

Try to find a BOM, then toss it up on eBay playing heavily towards the full resto guys who are into that era of truck it came from. Believe it or not, there are quite a few people out there who are all about having hardcore OE stuff, even if its a shitty drum D44.

I definitely sold an 8 lug D44 front that had closed knuckles and drum brakes from a '67 Chevy K20 for $200 to some guy who had a '67 he was regearing (this one had 3.73's installed at some point in its life). I've heard other similar stories. But, as with everything on eBay(or the classifieds, or whatever medium you choose), you have to pitch it to a select crowd.
