Anyone done it??

I´m seriously thinking about undertaking this swap. I´ve taken some preliminary measurements and it seems to fit, with the motor having to be tilted a slight bit to the side to clear the master cylinder, no big deal.

I´m more concerned about the tranny. I think an automatic would be real slick, but I´ve never seen on in the flesh, so I´ve no idea of its size.

Will I have to cut and hack on the tunnel??

I know, I know,

THE SAWSALL IS OUR FRIEND!!:D :D

Even so, I´d kinda like to know beforehand what I´m getting myself into.

TIA:beer:

Hi bill,

you might get awy with cjust cutting / welding the tunel on the passenger side. The drive train is offset app. 3/4". I would shift and tilt the engie to the right until the vac goes free and the exhaustpipes are stuck between the frame simmetrically.

I am on the way to put a Vitara H20 2.0 V6 into my sami.

regards,

norbert

Norbert, where are you from. I've never heard of a Vitara 2.0L V6.
I am not razzing you, I am just curious if it's a simple typo, or maybe you are from down under and they have an engine down there, that we don't have up here:confused: ?

We do have the H20 2.0 V6 in Oz.

It came in the older 4 door Estate model Vitaras.

Most people prefer the 2.0 4 cyl over the V6.
