i got a new ECU for a 5sp, now i need to know where the neutral safety switch wires are on and automatic so i can bypass them and get the thing to start with the key again (got a new ignition switch too)

my 89 electrical diagram show's it on top of the intake, there's a group of them. one's the neutral switch,reverse lights,ect solenoid,4wd indicator,a/t oil temp sender.

shows neutral to be black and black/white wire.

so what do i short/hot the wire too...

you just need to connect the two wires once you find the plug.
my best guess for the plug is under the tunnel
my 86 manual shows it as a round plug, with three wires, the wires are black and white and the other is black. and the reverse light also apparently goes through the plug as well

you just need to splice the 2 wires together. on top of the intake is a connector that then goes down to the transmission shifter. that's where the switch is.
