Has anyone considered swapping in the turbodiesel from the Prado into the FJ? Seems like it would bolt right up.

Why do you assume it would "bolt up"

i wish toyota would offer their new v-8 diesel in the FJ. it would sell awesome! though it might be a tight fit.

wouldn't a supercharger be cheaper and easier to do? It might "bolt up" if you get the entire drive train. I would be more worried about all the electric stuff like atrak, abs, etc, etc...

diesel engine - the more air you put in, the more fuel you can put in, the more power you make.

Yeah sure, power, but I think the draw for many is the milage and Bio fuel ability of [b]D[/]iesel engines. If the only draw was more torque than everyone would be driving around with FI gasoline engines.

I have thought about it. Thing I was thinking was to buy a balled up Prado and swap bodies.
