Look sweet if you can tell me where to get an auto darkening lens for them.

Stay away from the auto darkening lenses. There is a lag time with them even though you don't notice it, and you will damage your eyes eventually. It may take a long time and you may get lucky, but why risk it.

Yup, never liked them! I've been welding 12 years with my Omni shade 10; I have 20/10 vision!

I know a few guys who weld for a living and use auto darkening, i know there is a lag time but wonder how much damage it really does.

I have a $300 one at work thay I use for Tig welding and it sucks! Too often something gets in the way of the pickup and it then blinds the crap out of you. I tried one at home and with all the weird spots you have to weld that problem was a big problem.

Cool helmets.
They need to make a <IMG SRC="smilies/vader.gif" border="0"> , or better yet a <IMG SRC="smilies/thefinger.gif" border="0"> , or if Roxy welds <IMG SRC="smilies/roxy.gif" border="0"> .
I think if you learn on a normal lens, auto darkening is hard to get used to.
I don't like the view before you strike the arc. Couldn't get used to it.
