Wondering what the possibility is to try and put together a radio add to run on 107.7 and/or 98.5 for the upcoming draft EIS release in Pleasant Hill? I have no idea what adds cost, or how to get the money, but if we are trying to get more people involved I think this would be the ticket (no pun intended). There is a small percentage of OHVers following this on the internet, but there is a huge amount of people who are affected by the decisions that are made and don't even realize what's going on.
Thoughts?

Sorry, but my gut feeling is no.
I was going to ask during the forest service phone conference if they were going to spread the word to the public by doing a press release, but then I thought better of it.
In these meetings we want and need a MASSIVE presence by people such as us, that want our roads to remain open.
You have to remember that the tree-huggin' left is ALOT more organized, funded and more importantly MOTIVATED than the off-road community. If they were to hear that ad, they would surely out-number us at these meeting. Not becuase there are more of them, but becuase they are more passionate about this topic than the 4x4 crowd. Could you see anyone on PBB living in a tree for 6 months in order to protest route closures? (shit, i may just come up with something like that if someone could keep supplying me beer...)
It is much better if we spread the word within our own community by posting on various message boards (not just 4x4 boards but ATV and dirt-bikes BBS, hunting and fishing BBS etc.), passing out Route Des flyers, talking to your friends and local 4x4 clubs, mass e-mailing everyone you know etc....
