I have the motor out of a '69 FJ40 sitting in a shed for anybody that might want it. It's the 6 cyl (6F?). It has been sitting there for quite a few years. Would need to be rebuilt. It also has the 3 speed tranny attached to it and a header. Let me know if you're interested.

wow! 4 cents a pound seams to be going rate around here!

dumped off a 3,000 lb 2 stroke deisel a few weeks ago. got me $120

Mild steel scrap gets ya a little more, but engines,... not so much.

BTT

Thanks for the replies. Didn't think about taking it in for scrap. Thought somebody might want it for a rebuild. Seems like it was an early '69 cruiser. It still has the carb and distributor on it.

are you willing to pull the carb and dizzy and send them to me? i'd be happy to pay for your troubles and shipping.

the rest might as well go to the scraper......

I could probably send you those. I'm not having any luck finding a place local that will pay for the scrap metal. Anybody know of any places near my area? I will see if I can get to pulling the carb and dist. off this weekend. I'll let you know and we can work something out.
