Alright not completely nuts but when i am starting in second gear sometimes the tps bumps up the throttle when it thinks it is goin to stall about 500 rpm. That thing has a mind of it's own! i know it isn't going to stall, it's a fawkin cummins! Does anybody know of a way to get rid of this alert to the tps about engine stalling?

Mine does the same shit. its an 07 3500 drw 4x4 ...shit drives me nuts...and if you push in the clutch it will rev up to 1300 or so due to the extra throttle the computer is giving it

In a way Ive had to relaearn how to drive a manual because of the way this thing acts at idle....if it lugs down in gear it will autpomatically give the truck throttle and accelerate to 1200 or so rpm then idle back down.....AGRHH

No matter what you do, it's gonna try to keep the idle speed inside the preset parameters. If you lug it down, it will add fuel to maintain idle speed. The nice thing is you don't need to have your idle set up around 850-900 so it'll maintain a decent idle rpm with the a/c and the engine fan kicked in when it's hot. The beauty of electronics.

They're talking about CTD Dodge trucks. So what's your point?

Yeah that's cus powersmokes don't even run enough fuel to turn over a cummins. :D
This problem of mine got worse with injectors too, anybody got a fix?

I Was talkiing about my 07 cummins in my first post, but the mention of the powerstroke was in reference to crash's post...it seems if it can be done with international's electronics then dodge/cummins could make it happen?

The thing is this 07 cummins adds more than enough fuel to keep it at idle when in gear and it accelerates by itself over 1000 rpm then it lets the idle come back down...rather than just staying around 600-900

My only suggestion is to talk to someone at a Cummins shop and see if anything can be done about it. I doubt the Dodge dealer would be able or know how to help.
