This poll isn't directly about one trail, or a set of trails. This is about California and how we feel we are being represented by the largest group in California. Cal4Wheel is the largest organization in California, and many of us with larger more extreme rigs feel as if we have been looked down upon, or pushed aside because of what we choose to build and drive. We also feel that they have unfairly stereotyped us, and we got sick of it. I am one of those that feels this way. Over the years of feeling this way, my own support for them has gone to almost nothing. Now with all the trail closures taking place, and the fact that they have lost the one event that they count on the most, it may be time for those that feel this way, to rise up and say something. Cal4Wheel needs the support of the more extreme side of the sport, and it is the future. It is time to get the next generation of wheelers and their rigs accepted into Cal4Wheel. And I for one, would be willing to help much more, if they were willing to accept me for who I am and not judge me because of the vehicle I drive. I believe that they need to open their minds to the fact that there are many of us that want to be included on their runs, fundraisers, etc. if they were willing to open up the requirements and try to work more with us, and not against us. I'm setting up this poll to see just how many of us are out there, and how much support would there be for a new movement within California and within Cal4Wheel to push to have our voices heard. I have posted this in the California sections because this is about California's future in wheeling, and this is the best place to get the answers from Californians.

So, if you feel that you would want to participate more in Cal4Wheel runs/fundraisers and general support, if they accepted us (extreme wheelers) more, then please vote.

If you feel that they burned their bridge with you and you will never go back to supporting them, then also, please vote.

I think that it is time for Cal4Wheel to find out just how many of us are out here. We ARE NOT a small voice, just look at this site. It was built on people that wheel the more extreme side of the sport. We are out here, so please vote one way or the other. I don't care how you vote, I just want to see everyone vote. So tell your friends about this poll and link it too as many California based forums and sites that you can. We really want to get the word out and get a good response back. My goal is not to have the extreme rigs take over Cal4Wheel, just have them accept us and recognize that we are here to help if they would just let us.

I did not vote because the poll does not offer a choice for how I feel.

I applaud you for standing up and saying what you feel about a group of people that have worked many years together to further our sport. In fact I would nearly go so far to say with out them we may not be who we are today.

I am not currently a member and wrote a friggin book of a post but can't bring my self to bad mouth them on a public forum when I chose not to stand in front of them at a district meeting and say it to there face.

I humbly offer only this. Go to a distric meeting and ask for 10 minutes to tell them why you feel the way you do.

I'll be there this Sat. I would need to be on the New Business agenda, and don't think with all the crap going on about the Trek that right now would be the best time. There is a time and place for everything. I plan on going to see how the whole Trek thing is going to turn out and to also get back into the swing of things. It has been about 5 years since I went to a meeting.

Asking me or Jeff?

I'm assuming me, so what is it that you would like to know?

How are they treating you in respect to others? Also, an example of what happened in the past or who did what? As I mentioned before, I do not beat the cal 4 wheel drum, dont get me wrong.

Thats a great attitude, Its been a long time since I participated as well. I have my complaints but like I said, unless I'm willing to go stand up and make them known, I need to STFU.:p

Let us know what becomes of it.
