i did search and i found that the fan i am looking for is a 94+ V6 3.8 liter engine. my question is that i may be able to get a 94 V6 3.0 liter fan for pretty cheap, What is the difference between these two? how many wires should come on each?

I dont remember there being any difference between 3.0L and 3.8L fans. They did change for '96 to dual fans. There are three wires on both. I posted what each color wire was somewhere on this BB before. I can verify part numbers and wiring connections Monday if you are interested. That stuff is all on my computer at work.

so the 3.0L fans are two speed also? also do you think they will push enough air to cool a 3.4? A wireing diagram would be awesome, that way i can wire it up. Also what do you use to activate it?

Originally in the taurus there is a relay box (IRCM) bolted to the core support above the fan near the battery. The PCM ( Engine computer) tells this relay box to turn the fan on using temp. sensor and A/C demand imputs. it is a POS, dont use it. Use standard ISO (Bosch) relays. Monday I will put together some wiring info for ya. I need to get out in the garage and work on my rig now, I'm leaving at 5 a.m. tomarrow to go wheelin and its still in pieces!

Zags, I have one to put on my 3.0 L toy, I'd like to make it temp activated, if possible, do you have any info for doing that, if not, I'll hook it up off of the ign.
